A study on how love was born.

When did it first appear? Why is its pursuit one of the constants in our lives? A performance with only one actress on stage, who comes face to face with the desperate human effort to understand why we love, and why we love the way we do. On one hand, the work explores historical perspectives on love and, on the other, it presents love today through the performer’s own experience.

History of Love is composed of video, objects, and physical theatre, built right before the audience’s eyes. The performance is a mirror reflecting our own ideas, disappointments, and desires about love; it reminds us that love is not a single, linear truth, but a complex and volatile territory, full of contradictions, rules, hierarchies, trends, power norms, and open questions, in which every spectator can recognize their own.
