Interiors: Dark Times

Interiors: Dark Times is the creative outcome of a collaboration between the Greek sophisti-pop trio StarWound, the Serbian dance ensemble Contra Teatar, and director Maja Mitić.

This partnership was born when Maja Mitić took the initiative to combine two existing works: StarWound’s Interiors—a musical and poetic project in collaboration with American universities focusing on social and physical isolation—and Contra Teatar’s choreodrama “7”, a symbolic depiction of mental illness expressed through abstract movement, physical tension, and choreographic fragmentation. The artistic contribution of Maja Mitić elevated the performance to the next level, integrating text, multimedia, and theatrical aspects as new elements of the work.

An original performance that unites music, poetry, dance, and spoken word, delving into the social perception of mental illness and offering a raw, yet compassionate glance at invisible human battles.
