Visual Identity

We consider that every cultural event is a transition from the ordinary to the revealing. It is a kind of revealing ritual during which every action, even the most ordinary one, acquires a symbolic power. This is the kind of symbolic visual language that we intended to work on for this year’s 58th Dimitria Festival, recognizing that it can offer the cohesive force, as a type of cultural “ritual”- action within the community. A set of symbols that is borrowed from the world of signs, hagiography, construction sites and urban space as means to express the ordinary, the transcendent, the real and the unforced, creating a visual palimpsest of the familiar.
