On his return home, androgynous-looking Madhu attempts to seduce Ratnakar, his rickshaw driver, who is practicing celibacy in preparation for a religious pilgrimage.

Director Biography

Ashok was one of eight filmmakers selected for the ‘Director’s factory: Philippines’ through the Director’s Fortnight, Cannes
Film Festival and produced by Dominique Welinski of DW Productions. ‘Nightbirds’ premiered at the Quinzaine Des
Cinéastes, Cannes Film Festival 2024. Ashok’s film ‘Automagic’, produced by Claire Chassagne of Dolce Vita films won a post-production grant from the Région Île-de-France/ Paris Region and will premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival in February, 2025. ‘Children Playing God’ was screened at the Sharjah Film Platform through the Sharjah Art Foundation and also exhibited at the Migros Museum, Zurich. Additionally, Ashok also works as a film programmer at the New York Indian Film festival, and Arthshila, a private art institution in India.

In a society where kissing is punishable by death and people pay for things with slaps to the face, Angine, an unhappy woman, shops compulsively in a department store. There, she becomes fascinated by an ingenuous salesgirl. The two become close, raising the suspicions of a jealous colleague.

Director Biography

Alexandre is a Franco-Indian visual artist whose work has been collected by the MoMA and Guggenheim Museum, New York, and CNAP, Paris.

Natalie is a Romanian-American writer, curator and filmmaker, with a PhD in art history and film.

Walking together into the night, they reach the edge of town. As morning dawn approaches, something shifts between the two strangers.

Director Biography

Effi Rabsilber based in Athens, grew up in Leipzig and Berlin. Since graduating from the Theatre Academy of Munich she works as an actress for cinema and theatre in Germany and Greece. She took part in the directing classes of Athens FilmSchool.gr .” home, a space between us ” is her first film as a writer and director. The film had its world premiere at the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival in August 2025.

In the Ocean of Time

Korinna Krauss, GERMANY

2055. After the climate catastrophe survivors must live in caves. The only hope left is to travel back in time and prevent the disaster from happening. Only few have memories from before, which seem to be a gateway to the past. After various experiments a woman is able to traverse the ocean of times and arrive at the scene of her childhood memory: on a ferry she saw a man being pushed overboard.

 

Director Biography

Korinna Krauss grew up in Munich, Brussels and Athens. She first studied painting at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) for three years and then began to study documentary film at the University of Television and Film in Munich (HFF). In addition she completed her acting education 2009.

The essence of life is protected by seven veils. One after the other, all veils are lifted. Past is explained, faith in life is restored, the eternal spiral is still alive.

Director Biography

Evi Tzortzi graduated with honors from the State Drama School of Northern Greece in Thessaloniki. Further studies in acting, dancing and singing in New York. She is involved with theater, singing and dancing,especially Butoh dancing,and in the past few years has danced in several Butoh performances with respectable dancers of this genre,such as Masaki Iwana,Yumiko Yoshioka και Atsushi Tacenouchi.

Her first video art dance “antanaclasis” has participated in many video art and dance on screen festivals all over the world, such as International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy in France, Dance on Camera Film Festival in New York, U.S.A. and Loikka Dance Film Festival in Helsinki, Finland among others. It has been also transformed into a live performance for Thessaloniki Performance Festival, parallel program of “biennálle:3, Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art”, September 2011. The same video is the keystone of the dance theater performance “m.e.t.a.” that Evi Tzotzi created in collaboration with the choreographer Stefanie Tsakona and has been presented in Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki, Greece.

She is also acting on film and theater. Her second video dance was “La Quarantine”, created during the first wave of Covid-19 era, spring 2020. Her third video dance and video performance “Anachronism”, was created for Dimitria Festival in Thessaloniki. “7 veils” is her new work, created within the Dialogues 7-Mycelium Project, part of Dialogues: A Hybrid Art Project. It is co-directed with Giorgos Alexakis.

It’s his birthday. He will sing today. The pieces of his fragmented self are fighting to construct the song, the fragments of his song are trying to reconstruct his fragmented self.

Director Biography

Giorgos Aggelopoulos (Aggelogiorgas) was born in Athens in 1993. After studying Applied Mathematics and Civil Engineering at National Technical University of Athens he quited his job to pursue a life in film. He studied cinema directing at Stavrakos Film School and he works as a Director, assistant Director, Editor and Architectural Designer. E.g.

He believes that the power of the cinematic language lies in its impossible to translate qualities and he is always in search of a new cinematic vocabulary that incorporates the increasingly chaotic world of media and aesthetics that we live in.

His thesis film “Or How to Disappear” won the best film and best actor award at the 48th Drama International Short Film Festival in the National Student Competition section
