However, “The songs of Sotiria” transcend the boundaries of the stage, as they navigate between a theatrical play and a musical evening. The actress and singer Christina Maxouri, one of the most distinctive and notable voices of the younger generation, breathes new life into Sotiria’s songs. The melodies of Titsanis, Papaioannou, Mitsakis, Kaldaras, Savvopoulos, Moutsis, Andriopoulos, and Lagios intertwine with testimonies about Bellou’s life, through her own words as well as those of people who knew her. The performance is not intended to be a biography but aims to create a celebratory ambience, a shared experience during which we are brought closer together by sharing her stories and songs.
