The essence of life is protected by seven veils. One after the other, all veils are lifted. Past is explained, faith in life is restored, the eternal spiral is still alive.
Director Biography
Evi Tzortzi graduated with honors from the State Drama School of Northern Greece in Thessaloniki. Further studies in acting, dancing and singing in New York. She is involved with theater, singing and dancing,especially Butoh dancing,and in the past few years has danced in several Butoh performances with respectable dancers of this genre,such as Masaki Iwana,Yumiko Yoshioka και Atsushi Tacenouchi.
Her first video art dance “antanaclasis” has participated in many video art and dance on screen festivals all over the world, such as International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy in France, Dance on Camera Film Festival in New York, U.S.A. and Loikka Dance Film Festival in Helsinki, Finland among others. It has been also transformed into a live performance for Thessaloniki Performance Festival, parallel program of “biennálle:3, Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art”, September 2011. The same video is the keystone of the dance theater performance “m.e.t.a.” that Evi Tzotzi created in collaboration with the choreographer Stefanie Tsakona and has been presented in Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki, Greece.
She is also acting on film and theater. Her second video dance was “La Quarantine”, created during the first wave of Covid-19 era, spring 2020. Her third video dance and video performance “Anachronism”, was created for Dimitria Festival in Thessaloniki. “7 veils” is her new work, created within the Dialogues 7-Mycelium Project, part of Dialogues: A Hybrid Art Project. It is co-directed with Giorgos Alexakis.

After the climate catastrophe survivors must live in caves. The only hope left is to travel back in time and prevent the disaster from happening. Only few have memories from before, which seem to be a gateway to the past. After various experiments a woman is able to traverse the ocean of times and arrive at the scene of her childhood memory: on a ferry she saw a man being pushed overboard.
Director Biography
Korinna Krauss grew up in Munich, Brussels and Athens. She first studied painting at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) for three years and then began to study documentary film at the University of Television and Film in Munich (HFF). In addition she completed her acting education 2009.

Director Biography
Born in 1993, Simon Panay has made four short documentaries in West Africa. In 2014 he received the ARP Young Talent of the Year Award and in 2018 the Documentary Grant from the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation. His short film “Nobody dies here”, shot in an illegal mine in Benin, has been screened in 71 countries and won 133 awards. He continues to explore the world of gold mining with “If You Are a Man” his first documentary feature film released in theaters in 2023, and now in fiction with “The Boy With White Skin” in 2024.

Director Biography
King Louie is a Queer, Filipino-Canadian, producer-director committed to uncompromising visions that challenge conventional paradigms. He works to encourage dialogue and foster community through his films. Over the years, King has produced projects that have been screened at local and international film festivals. He is an alumna of the 2024 CFC Norman Jewison Film Program: Director’s Lab.
As a writer-director, King’s credits include NENE (Standout Director at the 21st Reelworld Film Festival) and STAY (Runner-up for the Jury Award for Best Narrative Short at Out on Film: Atlanta’s LGBTQ Film Fest). His latest directorial work is INANG REYNA, which was created during his residency at the Canadian Film Center.
As a producer, King’s credits include CROSSROADS, which was acquired by Viddsee, LOST BENEATH THE STARS (Warsaw 2018, Edmonton 2018), which was bought at Cannes Film Market by RTE Ireland for network and online distribution and secured European theatrical and online distribution with Sofy TV. He also produced THE LONELIEST BOY IN THE WORLD (featured on Directors Notes). His latest produced short, AUGANIC, won ‘Best Live-Action Short’ at the deadCenter Film Festival and is in consideration for the 97th Oscars.
King Louie works in the visual effects industry as a Production Manager. Recent credits include THE LAST OF US S1 (HBO), which won the 75th Emmys for Outstanding Special Visual Effects.

Hoda, an Iranian refugee woman, lives in exile in Germany with her boyfriend, Hadi.
Due to an unexpected pregnancy, Hoda starts to examine common beliefs regarding gender roles in a relationship and openly challenges the current patriarchal social norms surrounding feminine bodies and motherhood.
Directors Biography
Hoda Taheri, born in Iran in 1992, is an Iranian refugee filmmaker based in Berlin. Her first short film, Mother Prays All Day Long, won a special mention at the Locarno Film Festival 2022 and was nominated for the German Short Film Award. Her second short film, As If Mother Cried That Night, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival 2023. Her debut feature film, I’ll Plant My Hands in the Garden, is in developement stage at the moment. It is a co-direction project with Boris Hadžija, which has been selected by Locarno residency 2023.
Boris Hadžija is a Serbian filmmaker and musician born in 1990 in Yugoslavia and currently living in Berlin. His most recent works include the film As If Mother Cried That Night (2023 / World Premiere: Locarno Film Festival), as a writer and editor, Yugotransport (2023 / World Premiere: International Film Festival Rotterdam), as a writer and director, and Mother Prays All Day Long (2022 / World Premiere: Locarno Film Festival), as a producer. He was nominated for the German Short Film Award. His debut feature film, I’ll Plant My Hands in the Garden, a co-direction project with Hoda Taheri, has been selected by Locarno residency 2023.

Director Biography
Carlos Pereira, born in Lisbon, is currently studying Film Directing at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB). His films have been screened at festivals such as Locarno and San Sebastián. His film Slimane won the German Film Critics Award for Best Short Film of 2023. In 2022, he was awarded a residency at The Bergman Estate on Fårö, where he wrote the first draft of his first feature film, Remote Islands, currently in development.
