MOUNT ATHOS CENTER, 109 EGNATIA STR.Mount Athos Center organizes a special art exhibition featuring works by great painters who captured Mount Athos in the past. Based on works from the public cultural institutions of Thessaloniki and the monasteries of Agios Georgios, the exhibition highlights the artistic fruits that arose from the need of the creators to store the spiritual values cultivated for centuries on Mount Athos. The exhibition will feature works by Polykleitos Regou, Spyros Papaloukas, Nikos Gavriel Pentzikis, Panos Valsamakis, Giorgos Moschos, Giorgos Doukas, Lykourgos Kogevinas, Nikos Fotakis, Efthymios Papadimitriou and others, which belong to the collections of the Telloglio Art Foundation of Athens, the Municipal Gallery Thessaloniki, the Society of Macedonian Studies, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki, the Holy Monastery of Dionysios, the Holy Art Gallery of the Holy Monastery of Simonos Petra and the Central Library of the University of Thessaloniki. Art Historian Dr. Katia Kilesopoulou and the director of the Holy Home, Mr. Anastasios Douros, has curated the exhibition.
