TiSFF, Thessaloniki’s International Short Film Festival in its 15th edition is again the cinema part of the 56th DIMITRIA Arts Festival of the city.
On-line in the DIMITRIA platform, www.e-dimitria.gr TISFF will screen 128 meticulously selected short films from the entire planet, a duration of 36 hours and average film duration of 21 minutes. Of the 128 films, 25 are works of Greek directors.
TiSFF from its very beginning in 2007,has proven to be a risk-taking, bounday pushing festival, promoting exceptional quality cinema, discovering film artists that precipitate the collapse of social prejudices and prefabricated notions of what the body, the city, gender, emotion, our future or even art is.
Justifiably, it was selected among the 24 most important European shorts festivals, and one of the top 3 in the Balkans.
Worth mentioning that TiSFF was invited in Brussels, Bristol, Barcelona, Santander, Montreal, Munich, Istanbul, Belgrade, Malta, to present a “focus on TiSFF” program of Greek shorts cinema.
TiSFF 2021 will have 12 daily 3hr programs, including two unmissable “focus” programs, one on todays impressive Polish cinema and a second of selected beautiful LGBTQ+ films.
To enable cinephiles to watch all 128 films, each daily program will remain active for 7 days.
A bonus program, on Saturday Oct. 16, an evening with a provoking Q&A session with director Yannis Economidis and rapper LEX !
