Nouvelle Vague is a duet from France which created in 2003. They started in Paris, but their grace exceeded the borders of France. Having grown up with the famous new wave bands of the period 1977-1984, the two musicians chose to adapt timeless punk, post-punk compositions.
But because these songs would not make sense to be arranged with similar orchestrations, the Nouvelle Vague decided to keep the melodic core of each composition and re-perform everything from scratch.
In recent years they have toured around the world (from Scandinavia to Tel Aviv and from Turkey to Mexico) and have appeared with Dead Can Dance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. They have managed to win over the audience of both the big festivals and the small clubs and of course, those of us who have seen them live in some of their performances in Greece, we have every reason to meet again with the inspired band from France.
